A happy "Riverboat John" holding a 1942 Gene Autry Melody Ranch F-42 Gibson Guitar. This was given to me by my friend Kathleen Gunter, Widow of Joe Gunter (a decendent of John Gunter, One of the founders of Guntersville, Alabama, and a Cousin to my wife Shirley).*Notice the detail of the paint. It's all still just like new after all these years. One of the first guitars Berl Barnes, an original member of the Warrior River Boys ever played before the Warrior River Boys were formed. He used to sit on Joe's front porch in Big Spring Valley and pick away the hours.

Two good friends. Autry Pinson as "Mark Twain" & "Riverboat John". Both have traveled North America with "The Great American River Tour", Their classical Tom Sawyer & Huck Finn Show. A great combination of the acting of Autry and the humor, wit, and music of "Riverboat John"
